Boondocking
September 3rd, 2008 by Wayne (Wirs)
I am attempting my first boondocking experience – which means I am camped out in the middle of nowhere, no utilities, no lights, no power, no water – except what I have with me…
As I was heading toward the Maine/Canada border, I kept seeing these dirt roads that went off into the woods. Finally I pulled over and explored one. The picture above is of a lake, a very very difficult to get to lake, that I found about 1/2 mile behind my campsite.
My iPhone is working great here, as a matter of fact, if it weren’t for my iPhone I’d probably be lost in the woods right now. More on that later.. My Sprint air card is connecting so-so (the coverage, the card if fine). I’m running the generator right now, haven’t used it “for real” since I bought the RV. So far so good.
If you think others may enjoy this post, please share it via Facebook, Twitter, Email, etc...
Thank-you. Wayne
