Busy Minds

Often, particularly when I am out shooting pictures on a busy trail, I notice people hurrying by me – their gait giving away their busy minds…

Granted, some are hiking solely for the exercise, but most seem so preoccupied with what is going on in their heads that they completely miss the beauty of their surroundings. It’s a shame. One of the primary concepts of Buddhism and Taoism is to not take the mind too seriously. Life’s a lot more pleasant that way.

I doubt many of the hikers ever saw these things, even though we were on the same trail…

In the top image under the title Busy Minds, there are so many faces in the rock formations. You have a real eye for composition and whatever filters you use make each image very magical and transcendant.

I agree with Andrea that you have a “real eye”! Perhaps the most important filter is the one that filters out the business of the mind and allows a deeper seeing to take place. Thanks for sharing your insight.
