Destiny

I awoke last night at around 3 am, and, it being a hot night, I stumbled outside. As I was looking up at the North Star, a thought popped into my head, “There’s nothing to worry about, nothing that needs to be done – the future’s already been written and everything’s happening exactly as it should be.”

Just at that moment, a shooting star flashed across the sky and was quickly followed by three others.

I went back to bed feeling both content and blessed.

Wow this is a beautiful photo Wayne! Happy to be connected to all again- missed everyone indeed- now that i have my own funky little netbook life is even more perfect!

What would it be if there wasnt a poem..

The soul would have no rainbow,
if the eyes never had tears….

  2. Ketira Says:

I think you know where I found this:

“From time to time it’s fun to close your eyes,
and in that dark say to yourself,
‘I am the sorcerer, and when I open my eyes
I shall see a world that I have created,
and for which I and only I
    am completely responsible.’

    Slowly then, eyelids open
    like curtains lifting stage-center.
    And sure enough,
    there’s your world,
just the way you built it.”

    Yay, Quinzelle’s back!

    Confirmation!

I’m afraid I’m going to have to disagree with you. The future is an evolving thing and each decision we make changes it greatly. Turning left instead of right can change your life in ways you could never imagine. Of course when I wake at 3am I just think “great three more hours til I have to get up”.

  6. Wayne Wirs Says:

    @Ketira: I don’t know it.
@Chandi: I thought the same thing!
@Doug: It’s healthy to disagree. Especially if you-as in “not me”-are wrong. :)

  7. Doug In Powell Says:

Come to my place and we’ll have beer and talk. Or at least agree to disagree. :o )

  8. Wayne Wirs Says:

You got it Mr. President (wasn’t that cool of him?).

  9. Doug In Powell Says:

Least he could do after calling a police officer stupid for wanting to ensure a possible crime scene is safe/secure before he leaves and not being able to see the future in the present. Blue Moon Rules!

  10. Ketira Says:

Hmph. I know what to get YOU for Christmas! The above is a clue, and was written by Richard Bach.

For now, I will have to agree with Doug, as Yoda said it best: “Fluid, the Future is.”

Wayne – hint: JLS (think 70′s)

  12. Quinzelle Says:

and all just the way i can remember..

From the heart comes many gifts,
insights and revelations, it is often also from the lips of others- if we listen.

i thank my lucky stars for great insight also from those around me,and yes Doug 3 is deep snoozing time for me too 5 is more like it!

Ketira definitely liked that… reminds me of ..

The Goddess of All things rose naked from the Chaos and found
nowhere to place her foot. Separating the sea from the sky, she
brooded over the waters until she gave birth to life:
    Herself

We all come from the goddess,
and to her we shall return,
    like a drop of rain,
    flowing to the ocean.
