Synchronistic Wisdom

Empty Room

“The less there is of me, the more there is of Her.” Synchronicity is a powerful indicator that the belief that we are all One is indeed true. The less there is of you–blocking the Divine within–the more readily the Universe (Her/your Beloved/the Divine Mother/God) can work through your body and in your life…

At the moment that I received my reply from Nirmala (on decisions/motivation/identity) I was over at Sula’s working on a project of hers. Afterwards, we did a breathwork session in exchange for my time. During the session, I received insights into integrating the “Light Within” with my personality: to allow the Light to move through this body/personality as needed–which was very similar to the what Nirmala was talking about in the last paragraph of his response to my query (taking on an identity as the situation calls for it).

The next morning, I received in my inbox a post from the Nonduality Highlights which featured “making decisions and motivation after you are enlightened.” How weird is that? Synchronicity.

The gist of the post (from various sources) is that you just do what feels like you are supposed to–not with reason (you simply don’t know why), but with that internal guidance system which is so much louder after you wake up than it was before (because there is less personal desire/noise blocking it). See my posts on my confusion on returning to S. FL from all the way across the country–I didn’t know why I was returning–I even felt trepidation–but I still did it.

One of the posts (in the Nonduality Highlights email) really stuck with me though. It was a Q&A with Adyashanti where he was talking about the “pregnancy feeling” of “after enlightenment but before integration.” In it he was saying how there is often a powerful feeling that something is coming (direction/purpose): not knowing all the details–yet still certain that a change is imminent. That something new is about to be born through you.

I can feel it baby, I can feel it.

  1. Wow Wayne! Those are some amazing synchronicities. I am glad they arrived when they did since I was beginning to get a little worried about you in this kind of limbo zone. I so admire your courage in what must be such a confusing time. At this point, I can’t imagine being in that state but hope to cross that threshold one day. By then, you will have paved the way through. I can’t wait to see what is ready to be birthed by you!

  2. @Christine: Thanks Christine. I know that many won’t understand what I’ve been going through, but a big reason for my blogging is to provide a “diary” of my experiences for any who are interested, seekers and non- alike. When you get to the “Limbo Point” (or any of the “trials” I’ve gone through), hopefully you’ll remember reading about it here and this blog will help you out.

As for courage, don’t think that “confessing to the world” isn’t something you can’t do yourself. Any fear you feel about opening up about your life is just the personal self trying to protect itself. It’s a wonderful practice and tremendously freeing to “open up” and weaken the ego (obviously don’t reveal identity theft info).

  3. “The less there is of me, the more there is of her.” I was impressed by this statement in your book, “Fading to Enlightenment”, several years ago. It remains powerful and noteworthy today !
    Thank you . ( =

  4. Good post; Wayne, and an important one. Thanks for posting it. I clicked on it because I’ve literally been reading about Jung’s views on synchronicity (he coined the term). You’ve basically called it: after enlightenment, it’s like the me (the illusion of personal self) stops before the mind does … and the non-stopping of conditioned mind is what generates the thoughts of “where’s my motivation?”, along with paying attention to those thoughts. Reflection upon reflection is deeply conditioned in the body-mind.

And as soon as we get that this is how it goes, letting go increases, and the overall dynamic takes on a life of its own …. and the general awesomeness increases many-fold. As Adyashanti says: “Just Let Go”.
