The Art of Surrender

ROCK HOUND SP, NM

The art of surrender is really quite simple:

Stop trying.

Stop trying to win. Stop trying to bend things to fit your plans. Stop trying to make things happen.

Stop trying to force things.

“I want, I want, I want, I want.”

Let go of all that.

I want to get this tooth fixed (but the winds are too strong to tow the rig south). I want to get a van (but I’ve got to get this tooth fixed first). I don’t want to miss out on this great van listing (but I may). I want to get over this cold (but, I’m not yet). I want to head west to the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous (but all the above). I want to solve this damn software problem that’s killing me (but it’s just so hard). I want. I want. I want.

Me, me, me, me, me.

When I let it all go, when I simply wait until a path opens up, then all the pressure vanishes.

When I want and I try it causes me stress and pain and anguish.

When I surrender and flow it brings me serenity.

Just surrender. Let go of the Mortal wants and fears and struggles.

Open up and let Her move through you.

See through Her eyes and use this time some other way.

  1. So on point – an inspired teaching! I am living from Source today, and my old friends stress, worry, and anxiety have moved out. No room left for them in the fullness of being present.
    Blessings to you, Wayne.

  2. Thanks Wayne !!! I really needed this message today as I am always trying to make things happen. Think I’ll just let it flow off my shoulders.

  3. Wayne, I have a good friend (with a couch) in Taos should you need to come in out of the cold and get well! I’ve contacted her and she would be pleased to have you.

    Email me if your interested.

    Kind regards,
    Shirley
