The Un-Passenger Chair

The Un-Passenger Chair

CORAL SPRINGS, FL—I’m staying at my brother’s place for a week or two to work on the van. Some of the projects in the queue are to install a sink with running water, a catalytic heater for those cold winter nights, and to re-do the black-out curtains.

Though I should cover the walls and ceiling with something (they are just raw foam insulation), I’ve not decided with what yet, so I may just hold off on that project until the answer clarifies.

This afternoon—after writing code in the morning—I ran around collecting parts for the various projects, installed some braces to shore up a shelf in the back cabinet which holds both the propane canister and the grey water tank, and laid in a square piece of birch to fill in the floor gap where the passenger seat was, and which now supports my new easy chair.

Little things… but lots of little things always add up to bigger things.

  1. Oh good. You’ll be warm and cozy this winter as the cold tries to creep in and claim your toes. Makes me feel comfort that it won’t get them.

    • Good eye. I love it. It is thin enough to fit in the space and still leave enough room for me to get from front to back. I got the model that can be placed close to the wall (wall hugger?). Love it. Much more comfortable than the passenger chair.
