Let It Be

Closed and Locked

I receive a lot of criticism because of my transparency—it’s easy to judge someone who’s very open about their flaws. The funny thing is, I don’t remember ever receiving criticism from someone who was transparent.

Yesterday, as I drove past fields of newly bundled hay, I thought about the various criticisms I’d been receiving lately (unapproved comments and emails) and I thought about two articles I’d recently read on Seth Godin’s blog:

Just then, approaching Idaho Falls, Paul McCartney’s beautiful voice sang out from the radio,

And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

And I smiled in gratitude and wonder.

Let it be.

I’m trying Ringo, I mean Paul, I’m trying real hard to be the shepherd (Pulp Fiction).

  1. Thanks for this Wayne.

As “i” go along, She reminds “me” over and over again,

regardless of what “i” think of what’s happening, ALL IS PERFECT, no matter what “i” may think about it.

  2. The Guest House

This being human is a guest house.
    Every morning a new arrival.

    A joy, a depression, a meanness,
    some momentary awareness comes
    As an unexpected visitor.

    Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
    who violently sweep your house
    empty of its furniture,
    still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
    for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
    and invite them in.

    Be grateful for whoever comes,
    because each has been sent
    as a guide from beyond.
