The Ecstasy:

If you do everything for Love, then everything you do will make you happy.

The Irony:

Everything you’ve ever done, you’ve done for Love.

So why aren’t you always happy?

Because you haven’t been focused on the Love

You’ve been focused on the costs

And what you focus on, you become.

You’ve been focused on the work

And the obligation

And the pain

And the fear

And the commitment

And the plan.

And you haven’t been very happy.

Instead, focus on WHY you are doing what you are doing.

Focus on the Good and the Beautiful and the True.

Focus on the Love.

Everything you’ve ever done, you’ve done for Love.

Everything you’ll ever do, you’ll do for Love.

So focus on the Love.

And if you do…

Then everything you do…

Will make you happy.

  1. These words have really made a dent in my mind and stuck there. I think of them all the time since I’ve read them and, I believe, they will lead me to question all of my decisions going forward for which I thank you. I think in the past, everything we’ve ever done for love has mostly been done for love of self, not just for love. There’s a difference there.

    • Thanks Shelley. Yes, most things we do, we do for the love of ourselves. I spend a lot of time camped in nature. Why? Because I love the way nature makes me feel. Nothing wrong with that… as long as no one else suffers because of our “love of self.”
