After lunch, I cracked open the fortune cookie and read:
Nothing gets in the way of your vision of yourself in the future.
This struck me because my vision of my future is “Death.”
I liked this fortune. … Read more…
When the going gets tough, the Mystic takes the hint and leaves town.
For the most part, my time outside Congress, AZ was productive: I finished the first draft of the Soul chapter, filed my taxes, and attempted to get some health coverage under the VA—but the VA idea didn’t work out at all. … Read more…
Another Insight: Use this life to prep for your next one.
All accounts suggest that at the time of death, you will still feel like “you” even when you shuffle off this mortal coil. The evidence for this “consistency of self” comes from the almost universal surprise people feel when they suddenly realize that they have separated from their deceased body. The sense of self is so consistent and stable that the person doesn’t realize, initially, that anything has changed.
At death, you still feel like “you.”
So what are the implications of this “consistency of self?” … Read more…
Today I wrote the following for the book. The reader at this point in the manuscript will be familiar with the Evidence of the Soul and both the Aspects and Tiers of Mystical Oneness. There are at least three other similarities between the experiences of the enlightened state and the experiences of the Soul (unconditional Love, appreciation of Beauty, and access to vast knowledge), but this is as far as I got this morning. … Read more…
For the last week, I’ve been alternating my days between a day in the desert and a day in town—working on the book in the mornings, either in the van or in a coffeeshop, then taking the afternoons for myself. I don’t expect any publisher will have a problem with me releasing these excerpts here, particularly since I’m writing them specifically for the book proposal, but who knows? One of the benefits of living as a Soul is you just don’t waste your time with doubts or concerns or second guessing yourself. … Read more…
Over the last few weeks I’ve told a couple of people that if they were only familiar with some of the evidence that the Soul is real, they’d be (nearly) as convinced as I am that upon physical death, we simple detach from our bodies and go about our business. Probably not quite that cavalier, but you get the point: Death’s nothing. You come back.
There’s still some cleaning up to do on the document—and you’ll see a few of my notes to myself—but rather than make everyone wait on it, here’s a link to a rough copy of the Evidence of the Soul chapter of the book. It’s a 42 page PDF, so right-click on it, and save it, and read at your leisure.
I don’t believe I’m human.
Because I don’t believe I’m human, I don’t believe in Death.
Funny how a simple shift in perspective can change your life.
What follows is the summation of evidence of the Soul, written for the book this morning.
